2) Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, and authentication information (such as passwords stored in hashed form), plus account settings.
Event and website content: event details, pages, photos/images, copy, messages, design preferences, and other content you submit.
Guest and RSVP information: if you or your guests submit it through the Service, we may collect names, contact info (such as email or phone number if you choose to collect it), RSVP responses, plus-one information, meal selections, dietary notes, and related messages.
Payment information (if applicable): we use third-party payment processors. We typically receive limited payment-related information (such as billing email, payment status, and partial card details like last four digits), but we do not store full payment card numbers.
Usage and device information: IP address, device and browser type, log data, and interaction data (e.g., pages viewed, features used, timestamps).
Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication, preferences, and measuring how the Service is used.
3) How we use information
We use information to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service (including hosting your site, enabling RSVP flows, and managing guest lists).
We use information to authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent fraud and abuse.
We use information to communicate with you about the Service, including support and service updates.
We use information to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4) How we share information
Service providers: we share information with vendors who help us provide the Service (for example hosting, storage, analytics, email delivery, and customer support). They may process information only on our instructions and for the purposes we authorize.
With your guests and site visitors: depending on your settings and what you publish, some event information and content may be visible to visitors of your event website.
Collaborators/admins: if you add collaborators to help manage your event, they may be able to access event and guest information based on permissions.
Legal and safety: we may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or enforce these policies.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. If you need region-specific disclosures (e.g., California “Do Not Sell or Share” language), contact us.
5) Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for session management, authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not function properly without them.
6) Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, such as security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account, subject to limited exceptions (for example, legal requirements and limited retention of security logs and backups).
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of certain personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
